We had SO much fun experimenting this morning and still have goodies baking in the oven to post for another day! Cooking with my littles is one of my favorite activities!
Easy Bake Oven Little Eats by Clean Eats & Treats
Here’s what we created…
We used Kodiak Cakes mix to form a “dough” and made cinnamon pretzels and heart cookies topped with Sunbutter and rainbow sprinkles. Yes rainbow sprinkles! Chia seeds just weren’t as fun!
We also made pizza bites using Back to Nature round crackers and topped them with a sliced cheese flower, thinly sliced Aidells chicken & apple sausage and a dab of Organic pizza sauce.
Served with some apples & Sunbutter + tomatoes. Lunch!
I don’t bake treats much so if any of you have a healthy “batter” recipe for cakes ect that you’ve used for the Easy Bake Oven I would LOVE for you to share. I’m currently tweaking one I have but its not 100% yet.
Easy Bake Oven “Dough” Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1 1/12 cups Kodiac pancake and waffle mix
- 6-7 Tbsp warm water
- 2 Tbsp olive oil
Method:
Blend ingredients until a dough forms. I used my Kitchen Aid. Knead until dough is soft. You will need to roll out your dough pretty thin. The Easy Bake oven cavity isn’t very tall. Everything needs to be thinly layered. As well as your toppings. I used my mandolin slicer on its thinnest setting. Bake “dough” for 12-15 min in the easy bake oven.
Have fun and be creative!
