Eat Quinoa. It’s a grain that is nutrient rich and packed full of protein. Clean Eats & Treats
{KEEN-wah} Eat quinoa.
Why? This versatile little seed that you cook like a grain is nutrient rich and packed full of protein. In fact a single serving of quinoa is high in phytonutrients and flavonoids which are great cancer fighters.
Quinoa is also rich in nutrients including manganese, magnesium, tryptophan, folate and phosphorus. All essential to a healthful diet to keep your cells and bodily processes working well. In addition, it’s filled with anti-inflammatory properties and heart protective fatty acids. Quinoa is also Gluten Free and easily digested. Its light and fluffy texture is a great addition to many dishes and sides.
TIP: It can be bland in flavor alone so I suggest cooking in vegetable or chicken stock to add flavor.
